Having been reminded during my weekend visit to Ortley that not everyone has, or uses, a computer, and having seen, in one of the Toms River meetings, a resident inquire about how to get rid of five feet of sand on his property, I thought it might be helpful to pass along this information:
Toms River "Township’s Private Property Debris Removal program will cover the removal of debris such as sand, neighbors dwelling or buildings, and other debris that may have floated onto your property." http://tomsrivertownship.com/index.php/Zoning/debris-removal-request.html
There is a brief -on-line form that needs to be filled out and there's no clarification as to whether the township actually removes the sand/debris or reimburses you for having it done, or how long it takes to be notified if you are eligible, so a phone call might be necessary: 732-341-1000
